The beta of Internet Explorer 9 is released as on today. Internet Explorer is much faster and much better than earlier versions of IE. In this article I am giving some of the new features of Internet Explorer 9.

The beta of Internet Explorer 9 is released recently. Internet Explorer 9 has a lot of design changes and a lot of new features which makes visiting websites efficiently. Internet Explorer 9 has lot of improvements in performance and has adopted standards like SVG, CSS, HTML5 ( which is still under development) and many more. Let us see what are the new features available in Internet Explorer 9.

Minimum requirement to install Internet Explorer 9

Internet Explorer 9 is a newest web browser from Microsoft whose beta version was released on 15th September,2010. This beta version is much faster than earlier versions of Internet Explorer.

The Internet Explorer 9 has some minimum system requirements for the following operating systems.

Windows Vista (x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or some later versions is required to install Internet Explorer 9.

Windows 7 ( x86 and x64) or later versions

Windows Server 2008 (x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or some later versions is required for installation of Internet Explorer 9

Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 or later versions

The new features in Internet Explorer 9

User Interface: You can see a large improvement in the user interface of Internet Explorer 9 compared to earlier versions. One such improvement is the integration with Windows 7s' task bar providing Pinned sites, and a secure download manager which is useful for managing file transfers and it informs us if the file is a malicious one. There is an add-on performance advisor which will show you which 3rd party add-ons are slowing down the browser performance and allows you to disable them. The user interface of Internet Explorer 9 look somewhat like the Google Chrome.

Internet Explorer 9 works only with Windows Vista and Windows 7 only and does not work with Windows XP

Faster Java Script: Internet Explorer has a new and faster JScript engine which is known as Chakra. It has a separate background thread for compiling JavaScript. This process can take advantage of the latest multi-core machines. Chakra has several features like Background compilation, Type Optimizations, and Fast interpreter.

Internet Explorer 9 supports HTML 5 video and audio tags

Now you can see a new position for the Tabs and a new design of the address bar
