This article describing how to rectify your PC booting error with long continuous beep sound and also provides some reasons for beep sounds.
Beep Sound when your PC Turned ON indicates
Some Times beep sound indicates your system is in error. With these beep sound you cannot boot your system at the same time fan may be running properly. Have you faced any such problems? Do you think what it means?
I suppose that this may due the error in RAM. If it happens to you, just open the CPU Cover and remove the RAM, clean the RAM & its slot with cotton cloth or something similar and then Re insert RAM into the same slot or another slot available. Try to switch ON the PC. It may working.
Different types of commonly seen Beep Sounds when turn ON your PC
One short beep indicates System is ok
Two short beeps may be because of BIOS error
one long and 8 short beeps indicate Display Card error
one long beep after few seconds 2 short beeps means FDC( Floppy Disk Controller) error
One long beep after few seconds 1 short beeps means FDC is Ok
One long beep and 2 short beeps indicate Display Card Error
Continuous long beeps is because of RAM error.
