How to use Windows 7 Hidden Text Editor?


To use the Windows 7 hidden Text Editor all you have to do is follow these below steps:-

1) Click on Start button.

2) Now type Run in search box of the programs files.

3) Now click on Run option in the result of searching.

4) Now write the below command in the Command prompt window

edit

That's it now you can use the text editor in your computer.

It works out. I checked out in my system. It is working. You just have to click on Start and type run in the search box in Start menu. Now the Run box will open. Just type "Edit" in the Run box and click on 'OK' button. that is all. the hidden editor will open up. Did you try like this. if not, you can try like this and let me know.

Hi Vasu,

Raghav is right. Before posting the resource I have tried on my own computer. It is perfectly working. If you have 64 BIT Version of Windows 7. Then it might not be working because this Text Editor is of MS-DOS Version 5 which mainly works on 32 Bit Version of Windows operating System. It will not work with 64 BIT version.

It does not work for 64-bit.
