How to Manage Add ons in IE8

Add-ons present on IE8 are making it very slow to get started. Yes, what I mean to say is add-ons are the major cause for the high start up time being taken by IE8.

These add-ons might or might not have been installed by you. These might be pre-existing before installing IE8 on your PC or might have been installed while installing some free software.

What ever way they have come to existence on to your IE8 the important fact to consider is how to avoid them to make your IE8 start up quicker.

Now you might have started thinking what solution I would be providing to overcome this problem.

IE8 have made my life very easier in this regards as I need not come up with a self tailored procedure to overcome this problem. IE8 has an inbuilt feature to overcome this issue.

The Manage add ons feature being provided with IE8 will clearly specify the time being consumed by each add on during the IE8 start up. This makes it easier for you to decide which are the ones to be deleted to speed up your IE8 start up.

Let me introduce the inbuilt feature using which you can Manage all the add ons of your IE8.

1) Open your IE8

2) Click on Manage Add ons options present in the tools menu as shown below.

3) Manage Add ons window pops up

4) Here you have a column called as Load time which shows the time that each add on is taking to get loaded as in the image below

5) You can sort the add ons based on the load time.

6) Once you figure out the add ons that are having high load time you can easily disable them.

7) Click on the add on that you want to disable.

8) You can find that Disable option appears up which when clicked will disable the particular add on as shown in the image below.

See as simple as it is. A beautiful inbuilt option provided by IE8. Isn't it?
