ISO Burner in Windows 7

An ISO file is nothing but an image of a disc ( CD or DVD). An ISO file contains all the folders and files that were on the disc. The ISO file is similar to ZIP file but the actual difference between ISO file and ZIP file is that the ISO is a byte-to-byte copy of the actual lo-level data stored on the CD or DVD. By using a CD/DVD burning software, you can actually burn the ISO file onto the disc.

Normally an ISO file is useful for distributing softwares or images. But if you want to copy that ISO file on to a CD or DVD, you need to have a CD burning software. But this is not required in Windows 7. Windows 7 has in built feature called as 'ISO burner' which is very helpful for burning ISO images on to your CD or DVD.

Let us see how we can burn an ISO image to a CD or DVD using ISO burner in Windows 7. It is very simple process. Once you download the ISO image to your computer hard disk, you need to just right-click on it and Windows 7 automatically opens the ISO burner dialog box. You have to select the CD or DVD drive and then click on 'Burn' that is all. The ISO file will be burnt into your CD or DVD.
