In this resource I will give some easy tips to protect your web piracy.These include Avoid registrations on suspicious sites;Do not share private information;Delete search history;Private browsing;Clean your cache;Browse with a proxy;Delete cookies
With the advancement in techniques like keylogging and phishing the problems related to web privacy of internet users have become a serious issue. Most of us are worried related to our privacy on web. Many times we see incidents resulting in loss of or leaking of important personal information due to internet. However if we remain a little bit alert then it can really help us to remain safe on internet.
There had been many search incidents in the past highlighting this issue including concerns with facebook security; hacking of gmail passwords or illegal access of orkut albums. All these incidents have resulted in multiplication of worries and fears of Internet users related to their web piracy.In this resource I will discuss some effective methods to protect web privacy.
Here are some easy tips to protect your web piracy
1.Avoid registrations on suspicious sites
These days a number of websites have come up just to gather important personal information related to the internet users .Thereafter they see this information to other companies for advertisements. This may be one of the reasons of your email box being filled with unwanted offers and advertisements.Thus these registration being a threat to your web piracy you should avoid them . You can go for registration on trusted websites like facebook;orkut. You can use a very useful website called bugmenot for maintaining web piracy even after registering.
2.Do not share private information
You will be surprised to no that these days there are many websites which sell the private information of the users registering on them and sharing their private information there. Try not to provide your crucial private data or something which can cause problems to you if known by others. This will ensure your web privacy and keep you happy.
3.Delete search history
You can delete all your search history if you use a public computer or if your computer is shared by others as well. All the sites that you visit are stored in the history which can be a problem for your web privacy .Thus it is always advised to keep cleaning the search history option in various browsers. An option to delete the search history is present in all the browsers.In Internet Explorer you can delete by going to tools and then internet options. Similarly in Firefox you can delete history by going to Tools, then Options and finally Privacy.
4.Private browsing
Another easy method to maintain web privacy on public computers is to use option called private browsing in Mozilla. Similar options are available in all browsers with different names. Once you activate it the browser will not remember the websites visited by you providing security to your web privacy. This is an useful tool to hide it from others which websites you were browsing.
5.Clean your cache
Keeping your cache clean by deleting the temporary cache files is another easy method to ensure web privacy .You can easily delete these files in all the browsers by going in their settings.
6.Browse with a proxy
If you are browsing with a proxy then no one will be able to find your identity online. This is one of the advanced and effective methods to ensure web privacy.
7.Delete cookies
Many websites make use of cookies to remember your visits.These are small softwares but may cause problems with your web privacy. Thus it is better to keep deleting them at regular intervals to.
8.Search engine
If you are using a search engine by logging in with your account like you are using Google with Gmail account logged in then Google will remember all the websites you searched .Similarly there are some search engines which may analyse the pages visited by you and send the data to companies for advertisng purposes.
