PDF is a shortform of Portable document format. This is a file format which can be used in any operating system. In this article I have briefly explained about doPDF software tool that is useful for converting any document to PDF format.

What is PDF format

Portable document format or PDF in short was invented by Adobe systems. The advantage of using PDF is that you can use it in any computer with any operating system. We can view and print PDF files on any platform, let us say Mac OS, Windows, UNIX, Linux, or any other platform. Another advantage of having a PDF document is that you can send it as email attachment to a friend who has another operating system in which your original document cannot be opened.

Create PDF files with doPDF converter

The doPDF is a free document coverter that can convert your documents into PDF format. This software is a product by a software development company called as Softland.

It is possible to convert a document from any application to PDF file with the help of doPDF. you can convert MS Word, MS Excel, MS power point, or even MS word pad document to PDF using this tool. The only requirement is that your applicaiton should have the Print command in the File menu.

You can download and install doPDF in your computer. I have downloaded it and installed it in my computer. Here are some screen shots of the installation in my computer.
