This article explains how to create shortcut to open the safely remove hardware dialog box in Windows 7 in order to remove the attached safely from the computer
How to create shortcut for Safely Remove hardware Dialog
Windows automatically detects device when it is connected to the system. All the of the storage device require to remove the device safely before unplug the device from system. It will be available in the taskbar and you can open and right click to remove the device. It is not easy for some people to click the task bar icon to remove the device from the system
We can create a shortcut for the safely remove hardware dialog box. Then you can click and remove the device safely.
In order to create the short cut for the safely remove hardware dialog, first we need to right click the mouse button in the empty desktop and then click the
New
and click the
Shortcut
menu item. It will open a new Window to create the shortcut for safely remove hardware dialog box. Type
RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll
in the text box and click the next button to continue (check the below screenshot)
In next Window type the shortcut name which you want to give it to the safely remove hardware dialog box and click the
Finish
button to complete creating the shortcut (Check the below screenshot).
Once the finish button it clicked you can see the shortcut in you Windows desktop. Now when you want to safely remove the device attached to your computer you can double click the short cut and select the device and you can remove it safely from the computer and click the
Stop
button to remove the device from the computer safely. (Check the below screenshot)
