This resource will provide you information on an interesting feature that is Rasterization which is a common word in the image editing components.
Rasterization
is considered to be one of the interesting features in the windows operating system. This particular word is related to the editing of an image or you can even find this particular term commonly in many image editing tools that are available. Most of them will not be having any idea that this is one of the
advanced features of the windows operating system
. The advanced users will find it very easy to know details on what Rasterization is and how it is useful as a tool. When you perform a Google search for the word Rasterization then you can find lots and lots of results for the same but you cannot understand any detail on what it is. In this resource I have made it very simper in such a way that everyone will be getting information on what is the
meaning of Rasterization
and how is it
working in the windows operating system.
If you are very much fond in playing games then you should have a look at the game beyond the normal playing level. If you give a special focus on how the objects are moved in the game and how the players are moved and displayed in the screen you can probably gain knowledge on Rasterization. Rasterization is the common term that is related to the image editing. You cannot find any details regarding the
Rasterization in Microsoft Paint
which is one of the Microsoft products. The reason is that Microsoft paint does not provide maximum support for the full editing features. When you look on the high end image editing software like Adobe Photoshop and other image editors this word will be common.
Rasterization
is the term that is associated with the editing criterion.
People mostly used to complicate things but the actual fact is that the
Rasterization
is the concept of making the graphical system in the computer to get idea on how the graphics are displayed in the form of windows. This resource will provide information on how the computer is actually displaying a window on the computer screen on what basis it is created. Unlike the other concepts
Rasterization
is not a simple concept but we can make it in a simple way to understand easily. Here are the steps that are involved in the creation of the window in the screen with the help of the Rasterization concept.
Step 1
: The graphical component for the computer system is first given information and command to draw a particular window.
Step 2
: When the command or the instruction is given the computer accepts the command and checks for the settings that are necessary for the creation.
Step 3
: In this step analysis is made on how much screen space is necessary for the creation and what area that particular window will cover.
Step 4
: In this particular step the necessary dimensions that are required for the window creation is calculated.
Step 5
: Outline is necessary for the drawing of the window so the necessary details are calculated to draw the lines for the window's outline.
Step 6
: When the calculation for the outline part is over then the computer focuses on filling inside. Pixels to be filled is calculated and in accordance with the end points in the original screen.
Step 7
: This process of calculation is actually repeated again and again until all the components that are inside the window is given a proper dimension. After all the calculations are over the drawing procedure is started.
Step 8
: When the drawing is done in the screen the elements are drawn one after the other in the step by step procedure. This particular drawing of the window can be seen when your system is slowed down. You can see it clearly when the screen is filled with components one after the other.
Step 9
: This can be told as the most understandable and convenient example for the
Rasterization in windows 7
and the other windows operating system.
The above steps were for the creation of a window in the windows operating system. This
concept of Rasterization
is more common in the games and other applications also. It is maximum the work of the computer graphics to make the understanding and respond accordingly. Now we can see the steps on the creation of the three dimensional object in games.
Step 1
: First of all when the focus is made on the displaying of the image then the computer first loads the data that is necessarily needed. The data usually comprises of the coordinates of the lines and the coordinate points that are associated with the object that we focus on.
Step 2
: Virtual data creation takes place. Virtual in the sense the real line segments are drawn in the space where the computer screen size is imagined to be a few inches and the calculations are made for some meters of game view.
Step 3
: Display area analysis is necessary. The computer then calculates on what display area in which the scene has to be displayed. The actual image is given scaling and the resolution is taken and the calculations are based on that.
Step 4
: The scaling step calculations are then made useful in converting the lines into pixels.
Steps 5
: The above steps will be done without the color criteria and in this particular step the necessary color for the image is decided based on the graphical data that is given. After all this successful steps the image is finally displayed.
Rasterization will always need a graphics card with good configurations for the better performance and for the
Rasterization of the three dimensional objects
. The computation process is heavy in the Rasterization and it is resource intensive. The recent windows operating system like windows vista and windows 7 are using this technology and this is the reason why they are expecting the minimum RAM configuration as 1GM and even they demand a good graphics controller either inbuilt in motherboard or that is external for enabling the Windows AERO.
Windows Aero transperancy features
use Rasterization technology for the effect. There are basically three components in the Aero transparency features they are:
•
Aero Peek
•
Aero Shake
• Aero Snap
All the three are the unique
Aero transparency feature of the windows 7 operating system
. You can click on the above to get more details on what that particular feature is. You will be getting details regarding the individual
Aero transparency features
.
