How long does it take to burn DVDs using Windows DVD Maker
The Windows DVD Maker is a software that comes by default along with Windows 7 when you install it in your computer. You can burn different types of Discs with the help of Windows DVD maker software. For example: DVD-R, DVD-RW, and DVD-ROM etc.
The time required to burn a DVD using Windows DVD Maker depends on several factors. It mainly depends on the speed of DVD burning device and it also depends on your processor speed. If the speed of burning device is more, then the burning process takes less time. And if the processor speed is faster, the burning process takes less time compared to a slower processor. Let us see what are the factors that are responsible for the burning time of DVDs.
System resources in the computer
: The type of processor in your computer, amount of free disk space available, the video card and mainly the memory available all these determine the amount of time required to burn a DVD using Windows DVD Maker.
Speed of DVD burner
: The speed of the DVD burning device plays a major role in determining the time required to burn a DVD using Windows DVD Maker. The higher the speed of the DVD burning device, the lesser time it will take to complete the work of burning the DVD.
The amount of video or pictures to be burned on the DVD
: Last but not the least, the amount of information to be burned on the DVD ( video files or pictures) will determine the time required to burn a DVD using Windows DVD Maker. Windows DVD Maker converts all the videos and audio into a format that a DVD player can play before burning. The video is normally converted to MPEG-2 video format and the audio is converted to Dolby Digital audio format. So if you have long videos or more number of pictures that are to be burned to a DVD, it will obviously take longer time.
