This article explains about Microsoft forth coming product Slate PC with Windows 7 operating system in partnership with HP and it is similar to Apple iPad


Microsoft Slate PC


Microsoft recently confirmed that it is working on slate PC which is similar to Apple iPad. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer told that it wants to invest in the emerging Tablet pc market. This little Tablet PC is more powerful than a smart phone and it is almost like a computer. This is not the first time Microsoft is working on the Tablet PC.

Windows XP Tablet edition came in 2002 long before iPad from Apple. Eight after its first Windows tablet PC edition now Windows 7 could be the next operating system to come as Tablet PC edition. Windows slate tables may be introduced at any time. Windows slates may come in the next few months. Ballmer showed the prototype of the Windows slate in the World Wide partner Conference which held in July 12 2010. This Tablet pc is manufactured by HP and it is a multi-touch screen without a keyboard.

HP found Windows 7 format is very difficult for a Tablet PC style with touch screen. HP recently confirmed that it had already started developing a tablet PC which could run on WebOS operating system. HP plan to release a Tablet PC for Microsoft. Windows 7 graphics, Applications, battery run could be factors that are considered in designing the system for Windows 7. Microsoft Slate PC is expected to be released in Next year.

Intel's Oak Trail an ultra low power dual core processor for laptop which will be released soon will be suitable for Microsoft slate PC. Oak Trail chip low power will help the computer to use less power which leads to long batter life with less weight, less noise and less heat will also good for the everyone and for the environment too.

The low power processor could be released by Intel in the next year. Intel's Oak Trail will boost the Tablet Pc market

Apple iPad just launched and Microsoft is also planning to launch its slate could cause some damage to Apple iPad and before that Apple will more than 3 or 4 million copies of iPad.

We need to wait for some time to see the real Slate PC from Microsoft in partnership with HP.
