What are Video Card requirements for using Windows 7 DVD Maker?

A Video card is a piece of hardware device that is useful for converting electronic information into pictures, text, videos and animations on your computer screen. It is also called as Video graphics adapter, or video controller. Let us see what are the requirements for the video card to use Windows DVD maker in your Windows 7computer.

The first thing about the video card is that it should support DirectX 9 higher and use Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) drivers. So you should check your video card whether it supports Directxd 9 or not. In my computer, the Windows DVD maker is not working.

If you want to find out the information about the video card installed in your Windows 7computer, you can follow instructions given below:

  • First click on Start->Control Panel. Now click on Hardware and Sound in the Control Panel.
  • Now click on Device Manager under 'Devices and Printers'.
  • Now Device Manager windows opens up. You can now double click on Display Adapters to display the video card information

  • If your video card does not support Directx 9 or higher version, you can buy a new video card if you want to use Windows 7 DVD Maker.
