When you type some thing in the search box of Google search box, you will see a list of previou7sly searched terms displayed. This article explains how to delete google history so that this list will not be displayed again.

How to delete Google history in your Windows 7 computer

Most of you might have observed that when ever you type some thing in Google search box, you will see a list of previously search terms that are displayed. In fact these previous searches are not saved by google, but saved by your browser itself through a feature called as 'Auto Complete'.

Most of the web browsers use the Auto complete feature to help us fill web forms and performing web searches. When Auto complete feature is turned on, your browser keeps track of the information that you recently typed and next time will try to anticipate what you are typing and offers possible matches.

So whenever you start typing some thing in google search box, you will see a drop down list of terms that you previously searched. But some times we want to keep our search history as private. Let us now see how to delete the google history from your Windows 7 computer.

To manually delete your saved Google searches (AutoComplete history), you can perform the following steps:

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, then please follow the following steps to delete google history.

First you open the Internet explorer browser

Now select 'Internet Options' from Tools menu

Select 'Delete' under browser history

Now go to Form data, and choose Delete forms. Click 'Yes'

If you are using Mozilla Firefox, then please follow the following steps to delete google history.

First open the Firefox browser, and select Tools

Now select 'Options' from the Tools menu

Now you have to choose the tab labelled as 'privacy'

Select 'Clear Now..'

Now select the check box labelled as 'Saved Form and Search History'

Now click on 'Clear Private Data Now'
