1.Go to control panel through the start menu.

2.Thereafter double click the System.

3.Now open the tab material .

4.Then click Device manager.

5.Unroll floppy drive controller.

6.Then Right click element controller Standard floppy disk and select Disable.

This will disable the floppy drive in Windows XP
