1. The most important thing to optimize the performance of your Windows 7 computer is driver installation and updates. Make sure that you have installed all the necessary drivers for various components connected to your system like motherboard, video card , sound card , printers etc. You may use free DriverMax program for this purpose.
2. Go to control panel from the start menu. Now select system and then advanced system. Now go to Advanced Tab then click Settings. Thereafter select the Advanced tab and click Modify. Uncheck "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives. Select C: from the box .Choose another hard disk and select the System managed size. Click OK .This will move the paging system of the drive.
3. You can reduce your visual settings to increase the speed of your windows 7 computer. To do so go to control panel from the start menu. Click System Configuration on Advanced TAB. Click the box under the category of performance parameters.
Then click the button that makes Windows to adapt its visual settings for best performance.
4. Delete the contents of folder C:\Windows\Temp to make your system run faster.
5.Keep checking for viruses on a regular interval and always use an updated antivirus to prevent the attack of viruses which slow down your computer.
