2.Incorrect sound settings.
3.Problems in sound card.

Check the Hardware


Whwnever you face any problem with sound in your computer the first thing you need to do is to check the hardware. Most of the sound related problems in computer are caused due to problems in hardware.For instance there may be some problem with the connection of cables or with the sound card.

How to check Sound Card


Follow these ateps to check the sound card in your Windows 7 computer
1.Go to control panel through the start menu.
2.Now click 'System and Security'
3.Then click 'Device Manager'.
4.Now double click on 'Sound, Video and game controllers' .You can see a sound card mentioned there.
5.In case there is any problem in the sound card you will see yellow question mark next to the name of sound card in Device Manager
6.To find out the problem with the sound card Right-click the sound card, and then click 'Properties'.
7.Then click on the 'General' tab, and look in the 'Device status' box to check if there is any problem with the sound card. In case a problem exists then you may have to install a driver for your sound card.

How to check the cables


In case the sound card drivers are installed, then there may be some problems with the cables .Ensure that the cables are connected correctly.

How to Check the Power and Volume


If you have speakers connected to your computer ensure that they are connected correctly and are turned on .Also check there volume control.

1.Go to control panel through the start menu..
2.Click Hardware and Sound,
3.Then click Adjust system volume.
4.Now move the slider to increase or decrease the volume.
