Comparison between Windows 7 Windows Vista Hardware Requirement


Every operating system requires some minimum hardware configuration to run the Operating systems and the applications inside it. For a command based operating system like DOS and UNIX requires less memory and very minimal hardware to run the OS . Command based operating system will not have Graphic user Interface (GUI) as it requires a set of command to run the applications in the system.

GUI based systems like Windows; Mac operating system requires extensive memory to run the rich user interface applications like Animations applications.
Windows Vista OS requires some set of hardware configuration whereas a Windows 7 OS requires more hardware resource than its pervious OS.

Let us see the Hardware configuration required by Windows Vista and Windows 7 of 32 bit version.

When you upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7 there is no additional hardware required as both of them have almost similar hardware configuration.

In order to make use of the Windows 7 OS features we need at least 2 GHz of processor and 2 GB of RAM and for 64 bit version of Windows 7 we need 2 GHz of processor speed and 3 – 4 GB of RAM will give you a good performance.
