This article explains how to control the system volume that is automatically controlled by other software applications like Skype.
How to control volume accessed by other applications
Volume control will be used by all of the chat controls and other video or audio software installed in the system. Some of the software will take control of the volume and it will automatically increase or decrease the volume based on the software's the volume will sudden increase or decrease in the volume level.
So what we need to do in order to avoid controlling the volume by other programs and software's. Many of the Skype users may already experienced this issue. We can set the properties in the
Speaker properties
so that software can't take control of the volume.
Right click the mouse button on task bar volume control and then select
Sounds
if the volume control is now shown in tour Windows taskbar, go to control panel and select
sounds
icon and right click the mouse button and select open will open the
Window
Sound
property window will open and it will list the speakers connected to your system
Select the Listed item and click
Properties
button will open a
Speaker Properties
Window
Unselect
Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device
and click the
OK
button to make the changes to the volume control. Now the other application will not take control.
