How to change the Office XP CD Key?

Follow these simple steps to change the windows Office CD Key:-

1) Find the valid CD key on the back of the original windows CD case.

2) Now click on START button, then click on RUN.

3) Now type regedit, then click on OK.

4) In the Registry Editor find

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Registration

Now click on (+) plus sign next to that folder. If you find only one subkey in that folder that has 32-character {GUID} (globally unique identifier), select subkey and go to step 5

5) Now select the ProductID string value in the right panel.

6) On the edit menu, click on Rename.

7) Type OldProductID, then press Enter.

8) Now exit the Registry Editor.

9) Now start Office program.

10) When the Microsoft Office XP User Information dialog box appears, type your valid product CD Key (located on the back of the CD case). Follow the instructions on your screen.

11) Now go back to step 4, select the registration folder.

12) Right click on Registration Folder and rename it.

13) Write OldRegistration and press ENTER.

14) Again follow step 8 & 9.

Now open any office program to verify.
