I will explain to you how to create the folder and also describes the various types of the operations performed on the folders?


The folder is the directory that is used to store files in it and used for window environment to provide the convenience to the user and store the data in an centralized form such that it provides an easy access to the data by arranging the data in an representable format for the administrative users and all for the unknown user.

The following are the steps to create an folder is the window 7-

* Firstly, Right click on the location where you want to create the folder and click should be such that It doesn't in touch with any icon or the document.

* After that click on the new option provided on the pop up menu which is displayed to you.

* Then click on the folder option displayed on the top of the pop menu.Then with in the micro seconds the new folder is created.

Other actions performed on the folder-

* You can also specify the path of the folder if required any changes in its position by using the copy command or by using the cut command.

Steps for copying or paste the folder-

* Select the folder which you want to copy or cut and right click on the folder and go to the desired location where you want to paste that file and then again right click on that location and then select option paste by clicking on the pop up menu again.

* You are allowed to create only one directory with the same name with in the same drive, if you want to create multiple folders with the same name then you have copy that folder in an other drive otherwise error message will be shown to you i.e. "Already Exist a Folder with this name".

* You can also hide the folder from the unknown user by settings the properties of that attribute on the hidden mode and then on the tolls tab click on the folder options and then view menu, The options displayed to you in the dialog box and select don't show hidden files and the folders, it will hide your file and the unknown user. Moreover, provides the security for your files by setting the appropriate path.

* You can also create the folder by clicking on the create new folder option on the standard toolbar in the my computer drive.
