I will explain to you various steps of upgrading Window XP to the Window 7?
If you want to upgrade your PC from
Windows XP to Window 7
, you need to select the
custom option
during
window installation
. All you have to do is to destroy the old files of the
operating system
by using the custom option, the work of which is to not to preserve the programs, files or the settings of your computer.
It is easy to carry installation by using the custom option and sometimes also take a lot of time to complete and spend a couple of hours in its installation which time consuming because the
file structure of window 7 is complex
.
The following are the steps to carry out up gradation of Window XP to Window 7-
You need to
increase the space of your memory
and to remove the previous files of your PC before installing the Window 7 to your PC and also it is done with the help of
Window easy transfer
. The adding of the external
hard disk
is easy and doesn't take too much time.
You must have
original CD
which consists of the Window 7 setup for the installation of the Window 7 into your PC and firstly copied the files from the CD to your computer. Also Windows easy transfer list the files we were previously using in Window XP.
The Window 7 offers both
32 as well as 64 bit installation CD package
, as 32 bit consists of small
bit transfer rate
as compare to the 64 bit and 64 bit is used for handling
large amount of the data
such that the capacity of
RAM ( Random Access memory )
should be between the
3-4 GB
and more efficient and fast in comparison to
32 bit operating system.
Now click on the
start button
then Right click on the
my computer
then click on the
properties
and then see from the dialog box whether there is 64 bit there or not?
You'll probably need the 32-bit version, but to make sure, click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. And then under properties option you will come to know that whether you are using 32 bit Window XP or using 64 bit, if using 64 then you can use o upgrade the same in the Window 7.
