Heavy traffic of the web site, Network connections if it is connected to proxy may also cause for the slow internet connection.

Rarely Internet Explorer settings that are modified may cause the slow internet connection. You may need to reset the settings to default settings. Some of the reset settings may remove the settings that are required for a website. Resetting settings will reset the pop up blocker, text settings, Feed settings, fonts and other customized settings will be set to default.
