This article is about the cookies in Internet. What is the cookies ? what is the use of cookies ?
Cookies is one of the file which contains the information. This file is send by the web server of any particular website. All the cookies are different for all the websites. These cookies are saved on your computer.
All these cookies store the information like your username, password, ip address many more.
When you open this website very first time. Web server will get the cookies to your computer and store it in temporary files. It is read only file.
Lets takes an example. Suppose you have open the website.
mywindowsclub.com
.
The web server of this website sends a cookies to your computer.
This cookies contains the information about you like your username, password etc.
You have participated on this website. Share the information which ever you want.
Now you have forgotten to log out and you have close the website.
After 2-3 hours you again wants to login. Then there is no use to re-login.
You can simply write the url of this website and press enter to open this website.
You will see that you are already login to this website.
That means the web server read the cookies which was already on your computer from the same ip address. You don't need to re-login again on this website.
This cookies is made of some HTML codes like
"Cookie details: NAME=anything; expires time=date; path=PATH; URL=URL"
Important Points for Cookies:-
1) If cookies are deleted the you are unable to login automatically. You have to re-login again by entering your username and password.
2) It also contains the expires time of the cookies. It is automatically expires.
3) Cookies are read only file. You can't edit it.
4) You can change the username and password. If you do it you will get the error.
5) It never steals any data from your hard disk.
6) It is only for the one particular website.
7) Different websites have different types of cookies.
