Why you may need to automatically logon to Windows


There can be many reasons for this like you will not have to enter your password every day if you logon automatically logon to Windows
Again there are many reasons why you should no setup your computer to auto logon too.The major one is that on doing so you will not be able to secure your files from other users of your computer if any.

To make Windows to automatically you will have to do some changes in the Advanced User Accounts applet in Control Panel. The steps involved in configuring Windows to automatically logon are different for different operating systems.For instance, the command used to launch the Advanced User Accounts Control Panel applet is entirely different in Windows XP than in Windows 7 or Windows Vista.

How To automatically log On to a User Account in Windows Vista


1.First of all click on Start, type the following command in the search box, and hit Enter .
netplwiz
This command will load the Advanced User Accounts control panel.

2.Then uncheck the box next to Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer in the Users tab.

3.Thereafter click on the Apply button at the bottom of the User Accounts window.

4.Then the Automatically Log On dialog box will appear, enter your password in the two fields where it is requiredand then click OK.

5.Finally Click OK on the User Accounts window to complete the process.
Now you are ready to Automatically Log On To a User Account in Windows Vista.

How To Automatically Log On To a User Account in Windows XP


1.First of all click on Start and then Run. In the Open: text box, type the following command:
control userpasswords2
Then click on ok.
This command will load the Advanced User Accounts control panel applet.

2.Then uncheck the box next to Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer,in the Users tab

3.Thereafter click on Apply at the bottom of the User Accounts window.

4.Then the Automatically Log On dialog box will appear, enter your password in the two fields where it is requiredand then click OK.

5.Finally Click OK on the User Accounts window to complete the process.

Now you are ready to Automatically Log On To a User Account in Windows Vista
