How to disable graphics on your computer?

There are situations when we need to work on something on an urgent basing using some resources from the internet. Suddenly we notice that the speed of the internet has gone down drastically. There might be numerous reasons for this. But now the question would come how to increase the speed.

One of the ways to work faster on a slower connection is to disable the graphics on our system.So, this answers the question why should we disable graphics.

Graphics have a important role to play on our PC. They make the web pages look neat and attractive. At the same time these are the things that consume a bit more bandwidth. So below are the steps to follow to disable graphics on your internet explorer which will make you to work faster on your system while browsing the internet that is drastically slower.

1) Open the Internet Explorer

2) Go to Tools --> Internet Options on the Menu Bar

3) The Internet Options dialog box opens.

4) On this dialog box click on the Advanced Tab.

5) In the advanced tab , under the setting header we have a box with many option

6) Here scroll to the Multimedia section.

7) The below options would be checked by default.

i) Play animations in Web pages

ii) Play sounds in Web pages

iii) Play videos in Web pages

Option (iii) is not available in IE 8

iv) Show pictures

v) Click on Apply

Once your internet speeds up you can enable the graphics using the same process above by checking the options.
