History of Internet Explorer

Internet explore 1.0 was launched along with Microsoft Windows 95 and was called as Windows 95 with Internet Explorer. Internet Explore 2.0 was launched in November 1995 and it supported both Macintosh and 32- bit browsers. It also had Secure Socket Layer and support for http cookies.
Thereafter Internet Explorer 3.0 was released in august 1996, which became a huge success at that time. It had features like Internet mail, windows address book and news 1.0 .Internet Explorer 4 was released in 1997 and it could work on Windows 95, windows 98 and Windows NT. It also had the feature of outlook express which made it successful. DHTML language was used as scripting language which was very helpful for web programmers.

Internet explorer 5 was released in September 1998 with improved DHTML functionality .Thereafter in 2001 Internet explorer 6 was released in 2001 with the launch of XP. There was privacy and security option in this version that made this version a huge success. Internet explorer 7 also had a number of improved and innovative features. Currently Internet Explorer 8 is available in the market.
