Microsoft Corporation is working on a new operating system which is expected to be launched in about 2012 or a bit late, but then Microsoft engineers are known to be working upon it. The name of that operating system is codenamed Windows Midori and it might be officially also known as Windows 8. The reason of having this name with of the software might be that it is the 8th version of Windows. I am sure you will be able find lot of new features in Windows 8.
However, let us come to the point and discuss the expected changes in Midori after it is launched. So here are the expected changes –
Less RAM Consumer Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, especially those which came after Windows Vista are infamous because they consume a lot of RAM. When it comes to Windows Vista, it alone is known to eat up as much as 1.5 GB of RAM while successfully running. Thus, the computers needed to be of very high specification. However, now with the uprising of this new evolutionary, innovatory operating system called Windows Midori, things look to change.
As known from sources, Microsoft is working upon this new OS on its RAM usage capability and necessity and they will be trying to limit it somewhere near to 512 MB RAM.
Better Theme Options Though already filled up with too much decoration thingy in Windows 7 and Windows Vista, but as heard, they are planning to have something like what they have in Linux and perhaps better than them. However, with Microsoft Windows Midori, they are going to consider some new looks for the desktops, and perhaps some new gadgets, more desktop options etc. I also heard a piece of news that in Microsoft Midori, they are going to focus upon even the mood thingy that you can set themes on the computer as per your mood as they have in many mobile phones etc.
Better Compatibility One of the main reasons why people prefer to use XP over Vista and 7 is that XP is extremely compatible. You can run almost anything which launches for Vista and 7 on XP however, many things like games, applications etc. do not run with the other two. With the coming Midori, things are told to get changed.
It is being heard that they will modify the compatibility options for the operating system and those softwares which worked perfectly on even Windows XP will be able to run on this operating system by Windows. All those new softwares which are being launched will be able to successfully run on this operating system they call Microsoft Windows Midori.
New Taskbar Like in all other operating system which came, be it Vista, 7 XP, 2000, whatever, almost all of them had a different taskbar, with new looks, however, the taskbar in 7 and Vista were quite same, just do not consider the thickness.
However, it is being heard that the start button from the taskbar might be repositioned or if placed there only, then it might be re-colored with a new black view. Moreover, the color of the taskbar is known to be changed to black or red. However, these changes are not to be that certain.
DX 11 Compatibility Windows Midori will also have the compatibility for DX 11 and the operating system will be launched with its functionality. Now, users would be able to play a wider variety of games and experience better video experience. Maybe, by that time DX 12 will be launched and Windows 8 might be launched with compatibility with DX 12 even. So, who knows, it will just turn the whole thing upside down.
