Picasa is a photo editing and organizing software from Google. It is an absolutely free tool and can be downloaded free. Even though it cannot be compared with some of the professional photo editing software, it comes with some advantages that make it giving a try.

Advantages of Google Picasa


1. It is available as free software.
2. It can be used on windows as well as Linux.
3. The online sharing option makes Picasa quite useful.
4. It is easy to use and can be easily used by beginners.
5. It has a number of features like you can add light to photos taken in dark.

Disadvantages of Picasa


1. It gives only one GB of free online space for storing photos which is less than the competitors.
2. The search action is limited in nature.
