In this article, you will learn how to change the look of the Start Menu in Windows XP.
Changing the look of the Start Menu in Windows XP
Most of the people are interested in the Windows XP "Classic" Start Menu, which will make the Windows XP look like the Windows 2000.
Here is a procedure to change to the Classic Menu.
* Right-click on Start, and then click on Properties.
* Now click on the Radio Button in front of the Classic Start Menu.
* Now Click on Apply and OK.
The "Classic" Start menu has the capability to use "Personalized Menus". The personalized menus hide the menu items which you do not use frequently. These menu items can be accessed by clicking the 'Down' arrow.
If you want to disable the personalized menus, you have to right-click Start, then Click Properties >Customize, and at the bottom of the Advanced Start menu options box, you have to uncheck the Use Personalized Menus.
