Biodata of Satya Nadella, new CEO of Microsoft

Satya Nadella was born in 1969 in Hyderabad, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh state in India. Satya Nadella, who like to call himself "Satya", was married at the age of 24 and is the father of 3 children. He is currently 46 years old and is the third CEO in the history of Microsoft. He is successor to Mr. Steve Ballmer, who took over the role of CEO at the age of 44 and has been leading Microsoft since year 2000.

Satya Nadella finished his schooling at the Hyderabad Public School. Also, he completed B.E (Electronics and Communication) from the Manipal Institute of Technology in Karnataka and did his MS (Computer Science) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago.

His father Mr. B. N. Yugandhar was an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer, who served the government of India. Born in 1937, Mr. Yugandhar was a member of the Planning Commission of India during 2004-2009 under the Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh and has held many top bureaucratic positions. He was born in October 1937 and is currently enjoying his retirement life in Hyderabad. In addition to being a veteran administrative officer in high ranks, he has several publications to his credit. Before joining Microsoft in 1992, Satya has worked with Sun Microsystems as a member of technology staff.
