What are the Blogging mistakes that a new Blogger should avoid

Blogging is a passion and also a source of income for every blogger. But some bloggers do commit several mistakes in the very beginning of their career. This article covers some mistakes that a blogger should avoid to taste success. Read on to know what you shouldn't do when you choose blogging as your career.

Welcome. I think you already had a blog or might be planning to start a new blog very soon. One point every blogger would and shall accept is 'My primary target is to make money.' Of course some try to hide their intention and say 'I mainly concentrate on the niche and readers,' they too advertise a lot. Though you have that intention, you should not expose it in your posts and advertisements i.e. placing excessive ads in blog posts makes no visitor revisit your blog. Okay, now let's move to the purpose of the post mistakes you should avoid in early days.
What not to do in Blogging/

They say that content is KING. But how?

Whenever you decide to write a post or an article, you will probably have an idea on the topic. Just before starting, search your topic on Google you may find hundreds even thousands of posts on the topic you chose. They might be short posts of 200 to 300 words or long 2500 to 3000 word articles, but they're meant for the same purpose. Actually, short articles are called posts and long ones termed as resources. Interestingly, some short posts also do miracles by attracting huge visitors and the same time a 3000 word resource lags behind.

So, what should you choose either a short post or a long resource? If you are in a dilemma, you will no doubt be a failure. Yes, a professional blogger never chooses between a post and a resource, he will just have an idea on the topic and the rest is up to his fingers. I sincerely advise you not to minimize or maximize your content at any cost just present your knowledge effectively. Qualitative and unique content that is straight forward will be loved by your readers and also by Google. It is the main reason why websites like Wikipedia are indexed on top of the search results.

My advice is not suggesting you to make another Wikipedia; it might take your blog to first page in search results. The worst thing is, no one reads a 3000 word article completely by spending 15-20 minutes since time is gold. But by making your post's introduction interesting to the reader, you can bring him an itch to read the entire post. Also do not forget to implement Search Engine Optimization in every post you publish. So, it is the content that makes your blog stand in front line no matter what the niche is.

Don't rush towards Ad Networks. Make your posts more attractive

When a one month baby cannot head to McDonald's for a pizza, why do you head towards an Ad network when your blog is just a few days old? I have seen many blogs with lots of advertisements mainly of Kontera, Infolinks etc which make them not even a single penny. First three months should be spent for making quality content and building reader base. Also, advertisers compete to buy ad spaces on your blog when you have a huge fan base. So, make use of Twitter, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, Facebook etc. and share regularly to build social background. Making post attractive doesn't mean to use different colored texts or different fonts.

Posts without images and internal links cannot attract your visitors and they may not find your posts interesting. Of course, there are popular blogs like Pro Blogger that almost use no images in its posts, that's a different kind of approach (also niche) which you will come to know as time passes. Since readers try to find clickable links, add not less than 3-4 links to other related other posts in case it's a small article. But don't add too many links, excess linking will be considered as spam by Google. Maintaining a blog with single digit or zero comments on the first post doesn't show a sign on success.

So, try to respond to every comment and thank them so that they may find another day to visit your blog. If you are a blogger with 101 per cent cognizance in your niche, why can't you write a guest post? Yes, make some guest on popular blogs of your niche to increase back links and thereby new visitors. Professional Bloggers do not respond to your request that easily. So, try to mail in a professional way by briefing the topic you are going to offer them. Also, don't choose a routine topic while making a guest post, think different and write convincing. If your blog is related to Tech, never be late, post as early as you can. Since competition is at peaks from high profile tech blogs i.e. websites like Techradar, Engadget, gsmarena etc.

Last but not the least, never copy from an existing blog post; it makes you a blogger with no morals. Of course, I know you don't do that, it is just an advice. Though I haven't covered all the important measures, it's more than enough for 2-3 months and you'll get to know the rest by your own. So, keeping in mind all the above mentioned precautionary methods, I hope you will make your blog better with the best visitor count and Rank.
