GoldWave Digital Audio Editor is a product by GoldWave Inc. which is a small Canadian company. This company develops softwares related to audio eidting and video audio mixing etc.

The first version of GoldWave Digital Audio Editor was released in the year 1993 and lot of improvements were made in the software by the company.

The GoldWave Digital Audio Editor is very much useful for recording, editing and processing of audio information. A Free trail version is available for download for evaluation which is fully functional.

With GoldWave audio editor, you can play all audio songs with different play back speeds. You can change the playback speed. It is possible to record from the microphone, the line-in etc. There is a feature called as level recording in which you can either continue or pause recording based on input signal is above or below a given level. Lot of editing on audio files can be done with the help of this software. You can mix two audio files together, divide a single audio file into two parts etc. With the help of Voice over feature, you can easily fade in and fade out the background music.

If there is lot of noise or distrubance in your audio files, the noise can be removed using filters in this software.

This is not a free software. You can download trial version and use it for trial period, but you can purchase it for $49 with lifetime license. One year license is only $19.
