MyWindowsClub.com is born: The window to the Technology World

During a summer in year 2010, I was sitting on a sofa next to my wife who was expecting our new baby at the Memorial Hermann Hospital, in The Woodlands (Texas). As the name suggests, Woodlands is a town with a lot of trees and woods. Wherever you look, you see a lot of trees. I hate hospitals for many reasons, primarily because people go there for not-so-good reasons. However, today is somewhat different, as we are excited and waiting for our new baby who is expected to be born in next few days.

Memorial Hermann is one of the best hospitals in Texas. The hospital building is situated in a calm location and very close to the Woodlands downtown. From the main entrance, we had to walk through a long corridor to reach the consulting room. While walking through the long corridor, I felt as if I was entering a different world. The feeling did not change while sitting in the waiting room too because wherever one could see, only medicines, medical equipments, nurses and so on appeared there.

Technology At My Window


I waited several hours in the doctor's office room along with my wife, waiting to see the doctor. My favorite place in the room was the sofa near the windows because I could see the outside world through the windows when I got tired of looking at medical equipments.

While I was looking through the window, my wife asked me: You have been looking through the window and thinking something deep for a while. I guess you are going to write a poem like 'Tree At My Window' by Robert Frost. What is in your mind?

I replied: Well, I guess YES. But not really a 'Tree At My Window', but it is going to be 'Technology At My Window'.

I am thinking about the latest technologies used in this hospital. The hospital is fully computerized and many modern technologies are used here. But look through the windows and see the outside world. How many of the people you see outside are getting the opportunities to take advantage of the technology? I was thinking about starting a new technology website and help people learn more about the latest technologies. Can you suggest a good name for the new site?

My wife replied: Well, it is a good idea. So... you are looking through the windows and watching the outside world. What about the name "MyWindowsClub.com"? It is more relevant since we referred the famous poem 'Tree At My Window'.

I thought it was a good idea. We checked the domain name availability and it was available. We went ahead and registered the name quickly.

Launching MyWindowsClub.com - My windows to the technology world


I am excited to announce that MyWindowsClub.com has been officially launched today (16 June 2010) at 5:50 PM Central Time (which is 17 June, 4:20 AM in India), at the exact same time my baby boy was born in Memorial Hermann Hospital in Texas. In fact, I made everything ready in last few days and decided to launch it on the same date and time as my baby was born since this website itself was inspired during our visit to this hospital.

I would like to thank each one of you who worked hard last few days to make this launch happen. It has been only few days after we thought about launching a site like this and it took only few days for us to work together and go Live!

Many of you have played a vital role in the success of our other partner sites. I am looking forward to see the same here to make MWC as one of the best places on the internet for Windows resources.



In the next few days, we will start covering lot of technology articles on topics like Computer, Gadgets, Internet, Social Networks, Operating System and so on.
