    How to create bootable pendrive?

Iam using Windows Xp OS in my PC. While booting my OS is not loading, so i decide to re-install the OS, but unfortunately my CD drive stops its functioning. I think the only way is to install the OS through pendrive. I don't know how to create bootable pendrive.

you can boot your pc using pendrive. First Download Universal USB installer from this link http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/#button. After downloading run that software on windows. And select the operating system from the down menu and specify the path as path to be stored and click proceed and enjoy.

To know more about it refer the link below

    Dear fayaz,
Pen drive is more faster than CD. So you can boot your pen drive more faster than PC. Pen drive contains more memory than CD. So you can install windows 7 and more large softwares using pen drives.
    Thanks

    Hi Fayaz,
At my experience Bootable pendrive wont be working properly. Bootable CD or DVD only possible for good functioning. There was some sort of errors occuring in pendrive if we use it as Bootable one. So i left this try for my system.

Now CD's and DVD's are not using widely. now it is the era of pendrive and external harddisks. but CD's and DVD's are only used for this booting purposes. later in future pendrive may be used for this. so we need to be aware about that.

    Dear fayaz,
You can also install lot of operating systems in your external hard disk and make it bootable. Main problem of cd's are data lose. If any scratch occured. Then lose your data.
    Thanks

Sulthan you are right scratch occured in cd or dvd may lose your data/information. While considering pendrive the only thing that we must be aware is the virus. It can even damage your pendrive so try to put an antivirus and protect your pendrive. You can even install an antivirus called by the name USB Disk Security.exe it would be more better than any other antivirus.
