Actually both are not preferred. You better chose some good keywords for your individual posts, which will be having some relation with your other posts on the website.
Just use the related parts keyword in your newly created page or post and create complete new and proper set of keywords which suits perfectly to your current post/page.
Having a proper meta-word for your website and using related keyword on your individual webpage/posts is regarded best in SEO.

Mahavir,
Use different keyword for each page or article.
This is the best way to approach this.
1) Identify a theme or primary keyword for your page or article. This keyword must tie in with the theme of your website - if it is for your website.
eg: Your website is about "nike running shoes". So a page on "blue nike running shoes" would target "blue nike running shoes" as your primary keyword.
2) Use variations of your keyword on this page. These are called lexical keywords or keywords with a similar meaning.
For eg: if my page was about "expensive flowers", then I could also use the term "expensive tulips" or "costly flowers".
Never use the same keyword for multiple page(s). Each page must have its own primary keyword and secondary keyword(s).
Cheers

Meta Keywords no longer hold any importance in terms of SEO. Google has stopped considering meta keywords since it was used by sites to manipulate the search results.

Blogger,
This is true.
I have read this a lot, have heard Matt Cutts speak about it.
But, I still pay attention to my Meta tags.
Google does hold a big share of the pie - BUT there are other search engines
Google says we ignore Metas - But they still highlight the keyword(s) in the title, and description
Google keeps changing its policies - Let them, but let us stick to the basics.
