Which mediaplayer should i use?

I was trying to play a media file on windows media player but it was not able to play that file.The problem was, that the mediaplayer donot supported that file format.My friend told me to use gomplayer or the vlc mediaplayer .Please tell me which should i use that support all file format.

It all depends on the file format. As told by your friend that Gom player and VlC Media player supports most of the file formats. Though you can also use MPC Star and KM Player. These two Media Players too works fine with most of the file formats. But KM Player may not support some formats.
So, for every format, at least to which I have came across, I will recommend you to go with MPC Star Player. This media Player supports most of the file format.
