Hello Faizan hasan,
According me Windows xp operating is best.I use this OS with service pack 2.Because most of softwares are supported on this os.For example if you use windows 7 OS,you can see that Turbo-C software is not run on Win-7.
Another example I will give you.I have installed Counter Strike 1.6 game on my pc having win-xp.but when I am going to run this game on win-7,it is blocked totally.Though the features of windows-7 OS is better than windows-XP,but function of second one is better.So I recommend all the user to use windows-XP operating system to get better performances and better responses.

According to me the best operating system in the features and power is the Linux OS , because it is best suited for user who work in development of new programs. they can explore the functionality of Linux . also Linux is open source so it allows to do changes in it , and also it virus free and it does not hanged. these are the some reasons that makes the Linux best....
