Actually Firewall is like a sentry who guards outside a VIP's house,you know.Firewall guards between the internal network(your computer) and outside world.here outside world means internet.when we browse something in internet,the incoming data come in the set of packets.thats why when we have a low internet connection,we must notice that the page which we browse come part by part.now Firewall gives the protection standing between the internet and computer and decide which packets should allow to proceed further or which should discard.In such a way FIREWALL gives us secuirity on our computer system.
