Taiwanese company HTC has launched the most expensive Android smartphone, Butterfly in India with a official price of Rs 49990. It has places above the price of the brand new Apple Iphone 5 and Nokia Lumia 920. HTC's latest Android smartphone is the most expensive phone in India up to now. However, lets hope Samsung Galaxy S4 may be priced more than this. But it is not sure. Branded mobile manufactures have face much competition from others in pricing and features so, they show reluctance to put high price on their smartphone.

Within a very short time, you will find several costly smartphones with high end features entering the Indian phone market. If you wait for about 3-6 months, you will find many more costly phones entering the market. Presently, the three smartphones Apple iPhone 5, Blackberry Z10 and HTC butterfly sell around the same price of about Rs.45000 with a difference of only a few hundred rupees. You can opt for one the above three.

Today we can see a lot of smartphones in our market. Most of these are mid ranged. But we can also see premium phones like Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5. But here I would like to introduce a smartphone which costs four times more than these. It is the BlackBerry P'9981. It's launched in India at a price of Rs.1,39,990. It comes with a forged stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped leather back cover and exclusively a Porsche Design. This device provides a lot of outstanding features and this will be a great experience for the smartphone lovers.

I prefer iPhone 5 as the most expensive phone, it costs about Rs 45,000 in India. In the case of Galaxy S IV, it has the same features as that of Galaxy SIII and costs much below than iPhone 5.
Many companies like HTC are developing good smartphones of high rates with newly indulged apps.
For giving your friend as a gift I advice you to gift him iPhone 5 as it is the most expensive one, and also you preferred this option in your question.
