Design and looks
The phone features an all Aluminium body. As has been the usual practice with One Plus, you get the snap on covers made of wood, bamboo and other materials. The right edge has the notifications slider. Finger print scanner in embedded within the Home button. You also have a USB Type C port. The plastic case on the rear (on the previous devices from One Plus) has been replaced by hard Aluminium.
It comes with a 5.5 inch screen. The full HD display is quite bright and sharp. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The screen is curved at the edges and thus protects it from scratches. The AMOLED screen at 1080 x 1920 resolution ensures better sunlight legibility. Blacks are really deeper.
One Plus 3 runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. The customisation is by One Plus's own OxygenOS. There are confirmed reports that it is upgradeable to the next iteration of Android - the Android 7.0 Nougat. It does not have many pre installed apps except some core Google apps. Then there is the exclusive Shelf feature that lets you have a personalised home page on which you access your recent apps, favourite contacts and other widgets. The OxygenOS has a lot of customisation options. You have a huge load of gesture controls.
The 16 MP rear camera performs quite well. The images shot in bright light look quite lifelike. The focus is quite sharp. Even the low light shots are quite good. The camera does operate quite smoothly. The camera app has a easy interface. There is a manual control mode that is best suited for expert photographers. The rear camera has Sony IMX 298 sensor. The front camera resolution reads 8 MP. The main camera is capable of shooting 4K videos. There is also slow motion video shooting available at 120 fps. The front camera can shoot videos at 1080p.
Hardware and performance
The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. The 6 GB of whopping RAM should be the best feature that the phone comes with. All the apps and functions work like charm. There is no heating up issues observed. The processor and battery are perfectly optimised to work with ease as is evident from the fact that the phone stays cool even with high end performance. The internal storage of 64 GB cannot be expanded any further.
The phone comes with 3000 mAh battery that can last a day with medium to heavy workload you force on it. The video loop tests have given a result of 14 hours of back up. The device comes with what One Plus calls Dash Charging which means that the phone charges quite quickly, yet won't heat up.
Price and availability
The phone is priced at Rs. 27999. Given the spec sheet it reads, one must say the phone justifies the price it has been launched at. You can buy it on Amazon India. EMI options are also available.

The device has impressive lens with f/2.0, phase detection, 1/2.8" sensor size and with 2160p@30fps video support. For those who wanting to use the camera for professional images, then this phone is perfect.
Network & Connectivity : Device being dual SIM supports 2G on both slots. It has 4G LTE on slot 2. Both SIM also support 3G SIM with global bands too.
