Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus has microUSB 2.0 support. So yes, it does support USB on-the-go (OTG) functionality. You need a connectivity wire in order to use this feature. You can use connecting wire for both file transfer and recharging. The file transfer does require PC suite for proper data transfer. In case of charging you can use the USB 2.0 plug for power charging.

Well, the phone does support USB OTG functionality. Please note that the OTG cable will not be available as part of the sales package. You will need to buy it as a separate accessory.
You can easily connect your external drives to the Lenovo e K5 Plus and view the files stored on these drives on your phone.. However please pay attention to the compatibility of the file format on your drive with that supported by the phone. If there is a compatibility issue, you may need to format the drive to the requisite format.
