Apart from those smartphones suggested in the previous response, here are few recommendations which may widen your choice -
1. Huawei Honor Holly
Honor Holly will be a better one opt for if you want better camera quality at the price you suggested. It has 8 MP rear camera while the front camera has a resolution of 2 MP. It sports a 5 inch HD display. The pixel density is 294 ppi. It is one of those rare phones in the price range to have a HD display. Powered by a 1.3 GHz quadcore processor, the smartphone has 1 GB RAM. The internal storage is 16 GB which can be expanded to another 32 GB. Battery is a little less at 2000 mAh capacity which should work well for regular functionality. The device runs on Android Kitkat, but can be updated to Lollipop.
You can buy it for Rs. 6999
2. Xiaomi RedMi 2 Prime
An upgraded version of the immensely successful RedMi 2, the phone has an impressive 2 GB RAM. Powered by the trusted Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quadcore processor at 1.2 GHz, the phone offers you a 16 GB internal memory. The memory can be expanded by 32 GB more which makes it one of the great options at the price band. Though you want a screen size of 5 inches, it could be a good choice considering other better features though it has a 4.7 inch screen. The pixel density is quite good at 312 ppi. The battery capacity is 2200 mAh. One more best part with the phone is its 4G connectivity.
The phone is available at Rs. 6999.
3. Lenovo K3 Note
It is one of the best smartphones available under the price bracket of Rs. 9000. The phone sports a 5.5 inch HD IPS screen. The pixel density is an amazing 399 ppi. The 3000 mAh massive battery capacity is worth considering. The 4G connectivity makes it a better than the competitors.
Price is slightly heavier than your budget at Rs. 9999.
4. RedMi Note
It again has almost similar features as Lenovo K3 Note. Sporting 2 GB RAM , the device is available with a 5.5 inch screen. The 3000 mAh battery capacity makes it one of the best backup.
The handset can be brought for around Rs. 8000 across different online stores.

To start with, basically I am not a fan of some brands and when you try to buy a mobile, it is best to rely on the Standard Devices which can perform with the same speed and quality for at least a year or two. So going in that way, these are the devices which you can rely on.
1- Moto G ( Gen 2 )
This Mobile is the best as it is updated with Latest Android and that too in time and Sometimes you can get Update before Nexus Devices ( happened with me once, where mine is Nexus 5, my friend owns Motorola, he got the update earlier than me). To go with specifications, it meets your stated requirements. Price at Present is 8999 ( 16 GB )
If you can invest 2-3K more you can get Moto G ( gen 3 ) which is by far the best in this Price Zone.
2-Xiomi Redmi Note
xiomi is developing fast and has all the Advance features. Xiomi interface will never make you feel bored, it will provide you with Multiple Options. Price is Rs 7999
If you want to wait a Bit, there are Launching Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 2 Prime, If you can wait till they Launch it. My suggestion is to go with Redmi Note 2 Prime.
So as I said I want to rely on Long lasting performance, so these are the best. Some of the devices will come with High Spec's in this Range but be carefully those Spec's are high, but the Chipset and all which they use will make the difference.
Hope this will help you. For Comparision in Price and spec's, you can visit SmartPrix Website.

My personal recommendation would be -
1) Honor 4C
2) Xiaomi Redmi 2S
3) Xiaomi Redmi Note
4) Lenovo K3 Note (Priced at 10K though with discounts in sites it can be lowered down)
These phones are good with the screen resolution as per your expectations. Also the IPS screen for xiaomi are tough enough too.
Apart from Xiaomi phones I find Honor and Lenovo K3 note good options. In terms of camera quality Lenovo and Xiaomi has better rear end camera.
Hope this helps you make better decision in choosing phone.
