The Moto G 3rd Gen does not seem to have any major heating issues. Even the resource hungry apps like Asphalt 8 have been found to have no heating up of the device.

Moto G (3rd Generation) is a newly launched smartphone and it will take a while till you get reviews from users. Nonetheless, Motorola is an excellent company and Moto G 3rd edition is an excellent smartphone. I personally don't think it will have any kind of heating issues. It heats up too much say it's difficult to put burning stuf like this one in ur pocket. I have been using it for a month. Every thing else is good battery back up is not good too.
