Which is a better processor? Intel 3rd Generation i5 or AMD APU quad core A10

Date: 07 Mar 2013   Posted By: Ankit     Group: Computers & Smart Devices    Category: Laptops & Tablets

I want to know your opinions on these two processors. Which of these is better? i5 or A10. The laptops with less graphics memory, RAM and hard disk space which are powered by Intels i5 processor are still more costly than the ones with APU A10 processor, higher graphics memory, RAM and hard disk space. Why is it so? Is Intels i5 a more powerful processor?

Want to know the difference between Intel 3rd Generation i5 or AMD APU quad core A10 processors and want to know which is better processor? Why Intel 3rd Generation i5 processors are costlier than APU A10 processor? Find the answer from our experts comments.

Yes, there is no doubt that Intels i5 processor is more powerful than AMD A10, in terms of overall performance including graphics etc. most of them would like to go with Intel i5 processor. Since game players are comparatively less against Professional systems, thus i5 or Intel lead the market and cost little expensive.

In my opinion, the Intel third generation i5 processor is the most reliable processor in the market today when compared to AMD APU quad core A10. Intel processors have been always found to be more reliable than AMD and have better architecture which AMD could not compete with so far. However, it will depend upon the nature of the work you have to perform on your computer to decide about the processor. The view is that the i5 supports heavy and fast photo and video editing. It is also good for 3D modelling. Some have opined that A10 is faster for GPU related heavy tasks like gaming. Most people prefer intel i5 rather than AMD A10.

According to me Intel i5 3rd gen processors are the best processors among all two i.e. AMD, APU quadcore A10. Intel i5 is more reliable among all two. So Now-a-days we all are preffering the intel i5 3rd gen.

3rd Generation family processors and AMD's APUs are far away from competition. AMD's APUs are their flagships and they are still growing anyways. AMD's APUs are fast and comparatively they consume less power than Intel core family processors . Intel is simply best, no doubt in it. The buyer should stop and think about his/her habits and daily use of computer or laptop.

People always think about extreme values or latest products in the market, but don't think that which is the best option for them. This results in wastage of money .
Imagine you have Ferrari in Mumbai and your journey starts at Church gate Station and ends at CST station which Vehicle you will prefer? A Ferrari or a bicycle or a motor bike? Its all about the usefulness of the device, many people buy i7 or i5 processors but their actual speed consumption is equal to dual core processors. Same about AMD, if your Athlon X2 is efficiently doing your tasks perfectly, you may not go for A10 or Quad things .
Finally, its your choice.
