Yes, Xolo Play Tegra Note supports OTG cable and you can also connect PS3 controller to it for better gaming experience. As the device does not come with any SIM card slot, so you won't be able to run WhatsApp on it. But however, you can use 3G USB Dongle to access internet on this device. Please refer to the below mentioned specifications to know more about the device.

Xolo Play Tegra Note

Launch & Body
It was announced and released in the month of December, 2013 and it is currently available to buy. It is built with the dimensions of 199 x 119 x 9.6 mm. It was found to be 320 gram in weight which is much heavier than many other devices.

Display
It offers a IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. It offers a very big size screen of 7 inches which gives a great wider view to your applications. It supports the resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It has 216 PPI which is much lower than to be even average. It is a multitouch device.

Platform
It operates on Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) so as you can enjoy playing many Android games. It runs on Nvidia Tegra 4, Quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A15 processor with 1 GB of RAM so as to match the smooth working speed while performing your all kinds of work on the device.

Memory
It comes loaded with the internal storage space of 16 GB and you also get an advantage to extend the storage space via microSD or flash card. The external storage space can be expanded up to 64 GB which is I guess enough to store your data on the device.

Camera
It offers a primary camera of 5 MP, 2592 ? 1944 pixels with Auto-focus feature. It supports some more camera related features such as Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR so as to give you high quality photos. It gives a great video output at 1080p and it also has a secondary VGA camera.

Sound & Connectivity
It supports a 3.55 mm audio jack for headphones connectivity and also comes embedded with a loudspeaker so as to clearly listen to your beats. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct feature, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, Infrared port and microUSB 2.0 as some of its connectivity features.

Other Features
It comes packed with few sensors such as Accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass. It supports Java, E-Mail and IM. It is powered by the Non-removable Li-Ion 4100 mAh battery which is much more than many other devices in the same price tag. With such battery capacity the device can give you a continuous talk time of up to 10 h (multimedia). It is available in Black color and look very shinny and great in that.

Pros
  • Good RAM
  • Good processor
  • Good front camera
  • Good storage space

Cons
  • No SIM support
  • Bad front camera
  • Very large screen which is difficult to carry.

My Verdict

Its a great device to buy but as per my opinion you can get much more better device in the same price tag. It is also average to match some qualities of a good device. You can get this from various online mega stores and you can get this at the price tag of around Rs. 10 K.

Xolo tegra Note is not actually a Xolo device. It has been designed and configured by NVidia to showcase its Tegra 4 ARM processor.
Design and Screen
With physical dimensions of 199 x 119 x 9.6 mm and 320 grams weight, the tablet is too heavy. It is completely made of plastic with rubberised grips for holding it. It has no cellular connectivity.
It has a 7 inch 1280x800 resolution screen. One must say it is a disappointment for device created for gaming. We should have got at least a 1920x1280 screen. Colors are not that vibrant and the viewing angles are also not as per the standard gaming requirements.
Performance
The device has been created to showcase the the processor. It is powered by Tegra 4 quadcore processor clocking 1.8 GHz. It has also 1 GB on board RAM.
Software
Another disappointment here. The device runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean while the smartphones has already moved two stages further upto Lollipop. It has a Tegra Zone App to curate the apps and games to utilise Tegra power. Two stylus based apps Tegra Draw and Write come pre-installed.
Camera
The tab comes with a 5 MP rear camera at 2592 x 1944 resolution. Since the main focus of the device is showcasing the full potential of Tegra processor, the default camera app has been replaced with Camera Awesome. The app has a lot of settings to offer. Focus tracking is an interesting feature that keeps your target in focus even it is moving or you reframe your shot. Always-On HDR is a feature that will be available via a software update. Shots look a bit a fuzzy. Low light photography is not good at all. Videos are surprisingly saved 3gp format instead of mp4.
Other Features
Since Tegra is all about intensive gaming, the Tegra app consists of a few "Enhanced for Tegra" games. Game play is smooth with no stuttering. The device as said earlier has no cellular connectivity. Other connectivoty features on the tab include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct feature, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, Infrared port and microUSB 2.0
My View
It would have been a great device a couple of years ago. But the standards have changed now. The screen for one is too outdated. Inspite of being a device showcasing the new Tegra 4 processor, it does not do much in this regard.

XOLO Play Tegra Note

The XOLO Play Tegra Note was released in December 2013, it was mainly made for the purpose of gaming as its name suggests. The phone is really good feature wise but doesn't has any GSM connectivity which means that you cannot insert a sim in it as it doesn't have any sim slot. Its features are as follows:-

1. The phone has a big screen size of 7.0 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels which will provide you great display while playing games and viewing videos or photos. The phone also supports multi-touch and it has IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which will give you HD gaming experience.

2. The phone runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) Operating System allowing you to run most of the apps compatible with this Android version.

3. The phone has Nvidia Tegra 4 chipset in it which is specially designed for running heavy games quickly without any problems. The phone has a Quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A15 CPU and ULP GeForce GPU processors which will enhance the phone performance while multi-tasking or playing games or running any tasks.

4. The note has an internal memory of 16 GB and can be expanded up to 64 GB by using an external micro SD card. It has a 1GB RAM in it which will make your phone run smooth and will do multi-tasking without any lags.

5. The phone has a front camera of 5 MP with a very good resolution of 2592 X 1944 pixels with other features such as autofocus and Geo-tagging and it has a VGA front camera which won't be able to click very clear images.

6. The phone has a good battery which would run games on your phone for long time it has a non-removable Li-Ion 4100 mAh battery providing a very long battery backup.

My Verdict:-

If you want to buy a phone for just gaming then you can go for this or if you need a phone which is all-rounder then you should look for some alternatives.
