The two devices under question are completely different from each other. So giving a detailed spec sheet of both of them would not be any meaningful. So I would just compare the features than giving total specification sheet. Here is a comparison based on different parameters –
DesignCurved Aluminum body of iPhone is really a treat to hold. If aesthetics are important for you, iPhone is a clear winner here with its sleeker and slimmer design. True to the Android spirit, the Note 4 has a removable back cover along with the removable battery unlike the enclosed design on iPhone. Add to it the microSD card slot that the Apple device does not offer.
Another distinguishing feature with the Note 4 is S Pen – the stylus that is excellent for writing.
Note 4 is a bit thicker at 8.5mm compared to iPhone's 7.1 mm.
ScreenThe 6 Plus has a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 LCD screen while on the Note 4 we get a 5.7 inch 2560 x 1440 Super AMOLED screen. This is the first time that iPhone comes in such a bigger size. So Samsung is a clear winner here. The AMOLED screen of Samsung scores over iPhone with vibrant colors and a better deal in low light conditions.
ConnectivityiPhone has connectivity features like Bluetooth 4.0, 4G/LTE, WiFi, NFC, AirDrop, Continuity and Car Play while Samsung has Bluetooth 4.0, 4G/LTE, WiFi, NFC, InfraRed and USB OTG. NFC on Apple has restricted to Apple Pay only while Samsung does not have any such restrictions.
PerformanceiPhone has 64 Bit apple A8 dual core processor with 1.4 GHz speed, PowerVR GPU and 1 GB RAM. Note, on the other hand, has 32 BIT 2.7 GHz Quadcore Snapdragon 805 processor, Adreno 420 GPU and an impressive 3 GB RAM.
On paper, Note 4 will appear more robust to handle heaviest of gaming and multitasking. iPhone is also capable of coping with high intensity gaming. Benchmarks put Samsung way ahead of 6 Plus.
SoftwareIn terms of software that is easiest on smartphones, it is Apple that wins. Samsung, however , has removed most of the bloatware from the Note 4. As for App Stores, you will find more quality in Apple than in Google Play store. Samsung offers some better additional apps and features like Multi-window, S Health etc.
CameraiPhone provides you a 8MP camera with OIS- Optical Image Stabilisation and a 1.2 MP front camera. Samsung has a16 MP camera with OIS and 4K recording and 3.7 MP front camera. Though the numbers are in favor of Note 4, both devices are equally capable of snapping good images.
Battery lifeiPhone 6 Plus comes with a 2915 mAh battery while Samsung has packed a 3220 mAh battery in the Note 4. Tests have indicated that the Samsung has a little edge over Apple.
My Choice These two are entirely different devices and as such it is quite tough for the proper comparison. If you prefer design features and ease of use software, iPhone should be perfect for you. If you love some innovative features and a good battery life, Note 4 should be the one for you.
