Correction needed in the above post. Lenovo think pad does not have 12GB of RAM . I request the author to correct the mistake as it may give rise to wrong information. Hope the author pays attention to proper editing before posting the info blindly. Even if it was a typo error, you should pay attention to correctness.

Aman, why is it that your answer details laptops based in the US? Even the configuration you've mentioned has all US specifications. Infact, these laptops are not even available in India.

In your answer you've mentioned:
I have listed all of them after a long research. You can compare them with other laptops to know the best one for you. You can buy any of them as they all are just awesome.

Can you please elaborate on the 'long research' you did? Because it just took me a minute to find out the website where you got these details from:

That has been my point since long. How can an author just post things without even checking the authenticity of the info he has been posting? Just adding a few words like "awesome" doesn't increase the quality of your posts.

It depends. As an engineering student I can say that nowadays, laptops are an essential instrument for engineering studies. We all depends on our laptops for studying and research.

I couldn't tell you which laptop is best for your sister until you mention the following things. Her branch of engineering, budget and usage [ I mean whether the laptop is required for coding kind of stuff or graphic designing or gaming, etc...].

If she is a Computer science student like me, get her a good laptop so that she could use it even after the studies. Electronics engineers and civil engineers require lot of designing works like pcb design, circuit design, CAD, etc... So that may require a laptop with good RAM and graphical performance.

All these are my personal suggestions from my own experience. You can decide the best one for you. If you need any suggestion or have any doubts, feel free to ask me through my inbox or post a query in forum or ask expert section with all the details I have mentioned above.
