My mobile does not support OTG on pendrive

Looking for a solution to enable OTG on pendrive for Moto E smartphone? Here you can find how to enable OTG support on Moto E to use pendrive

My Moto E doesn't support OTG pendrive ( this is not OTG cable, its a two in one ). I'm using the phone with ES file explorer, Nexus media importer and some other fine apps. But still it is not recognized. Is there any possibility for OTG to work with pen drive or will there be any problem with my phone? What should I do?

Moto E doesn't have OTG pendrive or OTG cable support, it also doesn't work by installing the various OTG support applications. Neither of them work in Moto E. Moto G supports OTG via ES Explorer application. Motorola has not done a neat job by not providing OTG support in Moto E

Moto E doesn't have the OTG support. You can use the OTG feature only if you've the "ES File Explorer". You should use a proper OTG cable not a two in one cable and then try to traverse the files of the pendrive using the OTG cable attached to your phone.

Though it has been observed that Moto E has no OTG support, you can try following methods -
    Method 1
Install ES file Explorer. Connect your USB device and browse to your drive.
    Method 2
    1. Make sure your phone is rooted. Please note that rooting voids your warranty and may even damage your phone if done improperly.
    2. Download and install OTG Helper app.
    3. Connect your USB device.
    4. Open OTG Helper app.
    5. After providing root access, Mount it.
    6. Browse to your device on ES File Explorer.
    7. Check if your device is accessible.

Please note that both these methods may or may not work.

If your mobile does not support OTG on pendrive then there can be different reasons for this problems like:

    1. First, of all see that the OTG cable is placed correctly.
    2. See that if the pendrive is placed correctly.
    3. See that pendrive is working or not. This can be also a reason for this problem.
    4. Their can be also problem with your smartphone
    5. You can see if it is working or not by replacing the OTG cable.
