How to fix Kitkat micro sd card write issues

Date: 02 Jul 2014   Posted By: Abdul rahman mohd iqbal     Group: Computers & Smart Devices    Category: Smartphones

My device, HTC desire 816 runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. Unfortunately I can't write, rename or delete files from my external micro sd card. The only solution is to root my device in order to bypass the access to micro sd card. As my device is still under warranty, I am not willing to root it. So I am wandering for any secret solution that can bring back micro sd card access without any issues.

Never heard of an issue like this before. Are you sure your microSD card is not write protected by way of a password? Some microSD cards these days come with a built in software that protects the data from deletion or changes.

Alternatively, try using another file manager to see if you get the same error. Please revert back with the findings!

Go to Google App Store and download nifty app known as SDFix. This app modifies config file so all apps can read and write to the external SD card.
