Review of Nokia Asha 210

Date: 28 Jun 2014   Posted By: Shravan     Group: Computers & Smart Devices    Category: Smartphones

I am looking forward to buy a budget mobile phone having a QWERTY keypad. I am a big fan of QWERTY keypad phones because they make typing a lot more easier as compared to touch phones.

I have shortlisted Nokia Asha 210 which is a QWERTY keypad phone from Nokia. The major reason for going for this cell phone is its low price (Rs.4, 689.00 at Amazon) and Dual SIM facility. I have heard that it also supports Whatsapp, which is one of the most used modes of communication nowadays. So that will be added advantage. The only downside is that it's not an Android phone. So using apps will be a problem.

I would like to know your opinion on this phone. If you have used this phone, please do share your experience. Also do suggest some other good phones in the same budget if possible.

Nokia Asha 210 is a better choice if you text more. You can get all popular chatting apps like WhatsApp, Line, Viber etc. This phone look is very good and best for chatting. Browsing internet is not convenient as touch phone. Installing Opera Mini browser makes the browsing experience good. Surprisingly Google Maps works in this mobile. There is no GPS feature, you can simply view the map. Keys are soft and easy to type. Battery backup is great like all Nokia phone. WhatsApp is working great, to be frank it is better than WhatsApp for Windows Phone. With Nokia Music app which comes by default you can stream free music, it works even in 2G network. Like all Asha phone you are allowed to hot swap one SIM card, it means you can change one SIM among two without turning off the mobile. Wi-Fi reception is good and it connects automatically when the Wi-Fi falls in your range. Only down side is app takes upto 6 seconds to launch an app. It is faster in Android phone. I will say it is a good phone and you no need to carry a second thought for choosing this phone.
